History with Holt:

  • June 1993 - July 1995, social worker Domestic Adoption Program , Constanta, Holt Intl. Romania
  • July 1995 - March 2002 ,  site director Constanta branch, Holt.Intl. Romania

In the past thirteen years Livia put her entire professional capacities in service of Holt mission achievement. Her life changed significantly when working day by day, in order that many children in crisis situations and their families feel a little bit better. She totally changed her profession and she truly thinks she found her vocation.

She is managing a team of well trained professionals, whom are dedicated to their work and whom are confident in a better future for the children in Romania and for the nongovernmental organizations.

The syntagm “Every child needs a family of his own” is greater than any child’s fundamental right or a motto already known in the whole world, the reason for being a nongovernmental organization. Livia is a practical and optimistic person and she believes from the bottom of her heart that Holt Romania – FCSSCF, through all the great people that have dedicated themselves to the Foundation’s cause (sponsors, Boards of Directors, employees, partners, co- workers) still has a lot more to do.

The glorious mission and objectives of HRF provokes him a lot and at the same time determines him to develop his contribution in order to specialize and improve the quality of the services.

In the past 6 years she worked with the children from two kindergartens in Constanta city, occasion on which she noticed a number of problems that a lot of families are confronted with nowadays.

Moreover, only now, when she can analyze the problem from every angle, she may say that she totally agrees with the Holt motto:

“Every child deserves a family of his own”

The celebration of the thirteen years of activity on June 28th, 2006 represented for Nina a moment of evaluation and nostalgia. This period, she has had the opportunity of maturing together with the organization; of gathering knowledge and values, of developing professionally and personally, and the last but not least she had the opportunity of “giving to” beneficiaries.

“Through the programs developed by Holt throughout the years, we focused our attention on the children and their families; we kept a close eye on the crisis situations and we did our best in maintaining the family unity and in improving the quality of their life.

I wish for the future to remain in the big Holt family and together to move on with our mission and our organization’s ideals.” – Nina says

I think that the social worker profession is one of the most fine, but also most difficult jobs… Putting it into practice needs certain structure and abilities without which, one cannot succeed.

Every case is unique and all together offered me amazing professional satisfactions, enriched me professionally and totally changed my perspective on life, on the way things work and on what really matters in life.” – Loredana says

All those years she was a great team member, a leader in the community of Medgidia city; she acquired lot of knowledge and developed professionally and personally.

She loves this job, because she can be close by and can help the children and the families in crisis to surpass these situations and to maintain the family unit.

“Children deserve a family of their own; and their parents have as well the right to keep close those wonderful human beings.
