“The Holt team offered me the extraordinay chance of working with those children and those families that needed help. Holt has represented a great challenge since I became the Director of the Iasi Site. Since 1999, I consider I’ve worked in order to develop several services in the county of Iasi, dedicated to children and families, and which have been later advanced by the public institutions. It’s a great joy for us, the Holt team, to see how people from others institutions are working according to our methods. When I reflect about the decisions we used to take together, I’m always wondering how the children that receive our services will react and what will they think about our gesture when they grow up?; I suppose that the majority will be thrilled about our support. My leading professional attributions are:

-         single- entry book- keeping and financial management accounting, in both romanian and american system 

-         financial transactions, staff/ human resources

-         capital distribution as well as watching the monthly expenses deductions

-         maintenance of the data processing system

DIANA – ALEXANDRA DUMITRIU

Experience:

·        In 2000 I graduated from the Philosophy Faculty, The Social Work section, as part of the “Al.I. Cuza” University of Iasi and after that, from the “Psychosocial and Psychotherapeutic Intervention” post- academic study as part of the Psychology and Education Sciences Faculty, University of “Al.I.Cuza” Iasi

·        September 1^st 2000- present – Social Worker as part of the Crisis Situations Intervention Program, but also within the Maternal Assistance, Parental Education and National Adoption Programs.

• Moreover, in the past three years I have been a trainer on behalf of Holt Romania within different programs and projects
• I am also the author of several special articles in the “Research an Social Intervention Magazine”, as well as the co- author of the following manuals: “What is Parental Education?”, “Pregnancy and Young Mothers’ Counseling” and “Social Services for Children and Families. Good Practices Guidelines”
